Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is one of the most common disorders of gastrointestinal function in clinical practice. It is a kind of physical and mental disease with special pathophysiological basis, characterized by abdominal pain and abdominal discomfort related to defecation, accompanied by changes in defecation habits or fecal traits. According to the main clinical manifestations, IBS can be divided into diarrhea type, constipation type, mixed type and unshaped type. The age of the disease is mainly young and middle-aged, female is more common, may be accompanied by family clustering tendency.

Common drugs used in the treatment of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) :

Pinaverium bromide: For abdominal pain, disturbed bowel movements, and bowel discomfort in patients with irritable bowel syndrome

Trimebutine: For irritable bowel syndrome, gastrointestinal motor dysfunction caused by loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, abdominal distention, abdominal pain, diarrhea and constipation and other symptoms and improvement

Bacillus licheniformis preparation: used for acute and chronic diarrhea, various enteritis and intestinal flora disorders, etc

Double QI triple live bacteria preparation: used for diarrhea and abdominal distension caused by intestinal flora imbalance, mild and moderate acute diarrhea and chronic diarrhea

Dimethyl silicone oil: Used for gastrointestinal flatulence caused by various causes, as an antifoaming agent during gastroscopy.
